Textured veneer boards FOR – decor

Textured veneer boards are based on their composition classified as flat materials, where the big emphasis is put on the expressiveness of surface texture and design originality. Despite it they remains the natural-based materials with the same method of processing as the other veneer materials. As a supporting element is used poplar plywood, veneered from visible sides by wood veneer in the required wood.

The thickness of the veneer itself is 0.6-0,9 mm. In the first production stage is the veneer molded on one of the visible sides, then is in the surface by using the texturing technology formed the desired relief. For manufacturer fall off during the subsequent process the need of consistent surface grinding of the visible parts – thanks to the structuring process itself. Before final surface finishing just slight roughness tuning is necessary.

The boards are produced in basic dimension of 2500 x 1250 mm and thickness 6, 12 & 18 mm. Each texture has intentionally different texture depth, that´s why it is necessary to count at mentioned textures with a few tenths of millimeters tolerance. From technological point of view it is impossible to use different supporting element than poplar plywood.. As a protection against damage of the texture during transportation or storage, there are cushioning insertions inserted between boards.

Edging of individual components made of textured boards can be processed in several ways:

1. Only by grinding - by using of plywood as a carrier material and subsequent layering plates create visible edge.
2. Pasting by veneer edge in a smooth finish.
3. It is possible to use edges consistent with texture identical to the processed material. The length of these edges is limited by the length 2200 mm and thickness of 2.5 mm. The width of the edges are shown in the delivery table.

Surface treatment

is done in the same way as with the other veneer sheets, i.e. by pickling, coating, waxing etc. Thanks to the special technology it is possible to create a texture on both sides of the board. By texturing is manufactured the compact material with one-sided or double-sided surface texture, which can be used in the production of furniture parts, dividing walls, door panels, wall tiling, ceilings and other products.

Packing: basic palette amount includes 15 pieces of plates.

Technical specification

Poplar plywood: meets the requirements of class 1 according to ČSN EN 314-2 (IF20). According to ČSN EN 335-3 dry indoor environments. Formaldehyde emission class A (E1) in accordance with ČSN EN 1084. Degree of combustibility according to ČSN 730810 is C2 - medium combustible. The adhesive used in the molding: wood glue D3/D4. Substance classification: not a hazardous substance or mixture according to EU Directive 67/548/EHS or 1999/45/ES. Substance\mixture does not contain ingredients considered either as persistent, bioaccumulative and toxic (PBT) or very persistent and very bioaccumulative (vPvB) at concentration 0.1% or higher.

If required, the method of production enables to make a longer format of textured boards.

Wood sorting into different groups

Group A: Alder, Beech, Oak, Maple
Group B: Spruce, Zirbe, Ebano Alpi
Group C: European Walnut, American Cherry, Alpi Oak, Ajous

These kinds of veneers can be textured on both sides and in thickness of 18 mm and 12 mm.

Unlisted types of veneers is possible to process based on the individual price calculation. For woods with distinctive markings it is necessary to count with the possibility of optical suppression of texture expressiveness.
